What is Ancient Egyptian Healing?

Ancient Egyptian healing is working with the energies of the Neters. These are the forces of nature as represented by the gods and goddesses of Egypt, of the cosmic energy that is within all life. Each god or goddess has a specific energy that is portrayed through their stories, rites, animal, and sacred spaces. Through working with these energies, we are coming back to nature and in harmony with ourselves and those around us. As we step more into the understanding of different energies, we understand how our unique energy interacts with other energies, how to best serve our specific energy, how to be in harmony with other energies, and what energies might bring out the most opportunity for healing.

Using the example of Sekhmet, the lion goddess, we can use her energy to understand the fierce energy of expelling all that is not truth. With her lion heart, she is brave and will not allow anything other than that which aligns with total love in her field. On the contrary, she can also go too far in her destruction and needs love to bring her out of her war path. Meditating into her energy forces us to see the untruths and things that do not serve us any longer. We cannot hide from this energy once called upon. It will uproot all in your life which does not serve out soul especially in the physical and Earthly aspects. To work with Sekhmet energy is to remove the shadows and disharmony that we might normally be blinded to. To work with any of these Neter energies, is to understand how your current energy system works with others. You will find where you harmonize and can thrive and where you have opportunity to connect deeper into your soul.

How to Work with Ancient Egyptian Energies

Ancient Egyptian Healing is conducted with a unique attunement and is sacred to each individual. This can look very different for each person. To begin, most will start with a meditation connecting into the high energy of Mut, the mother goddess of union. From there, direction will arise of next best steps. Although it is often best to integrate different forms of healing lineages, if strictly working with Ancient Egyptian healing it could consist of any of the following and more: meditating into the Neter energies, energy work, ritual, intuitive work, channeling, foot baths, massage of the Ba, working with sacred oils and herbs, working with sacred sound, ect.

  • This is anything that is channeled from spirit that will be best for the moment. This may arise during a meditation or energy work.
